Oh yes, THAT Debbie!
From a young age I have been fascinated about sex. What is it? Why does everyone react differently when discussing it? How it’s depicted in the media? Ways we parent around it. And how our different life chapter affect it. I am a firm believer in Sex Re-Education. Its not just a one lesson in school and then done. But, something we need to check in regularly, we we evolve as individuals and the world changes around us.
I gained BA (Hons) in Criminology & Sociology - focusing on Sex and Sex Education in Society and went to work within the Local Authority.
Since then I have gone on to complete a Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy (with Distinction) and most recently a Diploma in Factual Television Development and Production (Excellent).
And now…
Now I am married, a mum of two boys. Navigating these difficult discussions throughout different groups of society.
I hope to normalise and destigmatise these topics. Reducing shame and understanding pleasure if a safe and sex positive approach. . I work as a speaker, writer and consultant and aim to teach with fun.
My Diploma with the National Film and Television School was completed to the highest mark with the intention of these bringing these important conversations to TV. Not to be laughed at, but with, breaking taboos with relatable content.
I work with brands, schools, groups, parents all talking about sex and relationships and helping empower people to improve their sexual relationships.
Why sex?
From embarrassment and awkwardness, to social scripts and pressures and enjoyment for all. I want to make it easier for you, to have those conversations, to help yourselves and to normalise sex and relationships for all. To improve our understanding, and accept and embrace sex and what that means to us as individuals.
I hope by speaking out so many feel seen and heard. My aim is for my work to be relatable, so that nobody feels alone, wondering is it just me, is this ‘normal’.
And I’m making it all this information totally accessible through your social media feeds, online and via various groups!
